Osariemen Martha Elizabeth Ighodaro, popularly known as Osas Ighodaro, was born on 26 October 1990 in Bronx, New York, USA, to Nigerian parents from Edo State. Raised in the United States, Osas grew up in a family deeply rooted in Nigerian traditions while enjoying the opportunities of an American upbringing.
She studied Broadcast Journalism with dual minors in Entrepreneurship and Theater at Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), and later earned a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University, New York.
