

Iniobong Edo Ekim, popularly known as Ini Edo, was born on 23 April 1982 in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. She is the second of four children in her family. Her father was a church elder, while her mother was a teacher, and they instilled in her a strong sense of discipline and education.
Ini Edo attended Cornelia Connelly College, Uyo, and later studied Theatre Arts at the University of Uyo. She also obtained a diploma in Theatre Arts from the University of Calabar, and in 2014, she completed a law degree at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
Ini Edo began her acting career in 2000, but her big break came in 2004 with the movie World Apart, which established her as one of Nollywood’s leading ladies. Since then, she has starred in over 150 films, making her one of the most prolific actresses in Nollywood history.
