Stephen Keshi

Stephen Okechukwu Keshi (23 January 1962 – 7 June 2016) was a Nigerian football legend, both as a player and coach. Nicknamed the “Big Boss”, Keshi was a commanding defender who captained Nigeria’s Golden Generation and later became one of Africa’s most successful managers. He is celebrated as one of only two men in history (alongside Egypt’s Mahmoud El-Gohary) to win the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as both a player and coach.
